Rugged Science is seeking an Assembler to work in our production department. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-technology projects, for both industrial and government applications. Responsibilities
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Perform mechanical assembly of enclosures, bracket assemblies, and electrical assemblies.
Utilize hand held tools such as a pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, and drill guns.
Perform soldering and manufacture custom cable assemblies
Maintain inventory of product in work stations
Perform quality work checks to insure the products you build meet quality standards
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Initiative to maintain a clean and safe work area

Key Skills

The preferred candidate will have at least two years’ experience with mechanical assembly. Assembly experience with electronic assemblies and performing point to point wiring a plus. Successful candidates will possess basic computer navigation skills, work independently, pay great attention to detail, and apply problem solving skills.
